We know you love your stretch jeans (we’re kind of obsessed too). If you’re anything like us, you live in your jeans. So we want to make sure that you’re getting the most from your everyday uniform and taking the steps to extend the life of your favourite pair. Read on for the tips from pour Lolë experts.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR JEANS?
Let’s start by settling the eternal debate – you do not need to wash your jeans after every wear. In fact, if you want to extent the life of that beautiful shade of blue or intensity of black, you’ll want to avoid washing them. So how often should you wash them? For stretch jeans, you could easily go four or five wears before you need to consider washing them. For jeans that don’t have stretch, you can probably safely extend it to about 10 wears.
WHAT’S THE BEST CYCLE TO WASH YOUR JEANS?
If you want to preserve the colour and shape of your jeans, try turning them inside out, using the gentle cycle of your washing machine and washing with cold water. Also consider using a gentle detergent that won’t strip the colour from your jeans. As an added step, you can also soak your jeans in a mixture of cold water and white vinegar. White vinegar has been known to preserve colour.
WHAT ABOUT DRYING YOUR JEANS?
If your goal is to keep your jeans in tip top shape as long as possible, then we’re sorry to say that you’ll have to be patient and air dry your jeans. Yes, they can end up feeling a little stiffer at first, but they soften up pretty quickly.
There you have it, our words of wisdom for keeping your Lolë denim looking great through time. Despite trying your hardest to keep your favourite pair of jeans looking brand new, remember that one of the best things about a good pair of jeans is that they get better with age.
