Raw Food: benefits and recipe

Just in time for the spring, a few weeks ago, Lolë Ambassador, Naturopath and Health Coach  Audrey Sckoropad visited the Lolë HQ to discuss raw food.

 

What is raw food? 

It is a way of life, filled with healthy food giving us energy. This lifestyle is humane, since animal source foods are not included. Instead we opt for fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, germination and fermentation. Cooking destroys enzymes and removes the vital energy of food. That is why everything is eaten raw or below 118 degrees F.

– Increase energy level

– Achieve a healthy weight

– Decrease discomfort headache, inflammation, stress, digestive problems, sinusitis, mucus, obesity, skin problems, fatigue, etc.

– Better skin tone, healthier skin, nails and hair

Recipe: Green Smoothie

– 1 banana

– 2 leaves of kale

– 1 cup of frozen mango

– 2 tbsp. of chia seeds

– 2 cups of almond milk

Place all ingredients in a blender, mix for one minute and drink immediately.
